VW presents the new Polo BlueGT
Volkswagen says the new Polo BlueGT perfectly combines the concepts of ‘saving’ and ‘dynamic’ and taking a look at the technical data of the German manufacturer seems they are right. The secret lies in its new 1.4 TSI engine with cylinders Management System Active, which is capable of selective disengagement of the second and third cylinders when the load regime is medium or low.

The 1.4-liter TSI Polo BlueGT delivers an output of 140 hp and offers a consumption of 4.6 l/100 km, while consumption remains at just 4.5 l/100 km and 105 g / km CO2 emissions, when equipped with the automatic ‘DSG’ optional 7-speed. The new Volkswagen accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km / h. In addition, it delivers a torque of 250 Nm available between 1,500 and 3,500 rpm.

By disabling the second and the third cylinder in low load conditions and average consumption is reduced by 0.4 litres/100 km. At a speed of 50 km / h in third or fourth gear, even reduced consumption to 1.0 l/100 km. This efficiency is achieved by combining the Active Management System Cylinders ‘ACT’ and measures BlueMotion Technology (a “Start / Stop” system recovery of braking energy and component parts aerodynamic ).

Standard equipment also offers many details adopted from Polo GTI and the Polo BlueMotion . Among them are the typical GTI rear spoiler, rear bumper with diffuser, front bumper and fog lamps. Adopted elements of the Polo BlueMotion are the front footpegs and profiles. In addition, the Polo BlueGT becomes a more elegant through items like a grilled black color, vents R-Line bumper and black exterior mirrors.
